I like it because it is simple, accurate and easy to use. 4.5 stars. I used it to hang several pictures in my living room and bedroom.
Ive used this app multiple times to line things up on walls, etc. Its not practical to carry a real level around if youre not a carpenter, but its very handy to have one in your smartphone when you need one.
Well done dual app with nice interface and quite friendly useful menu of the app, works good
Some bad moments
OK for finding horizontal and vertical but inaccurate for other angles
None of my pictures are level. So annoying. Does not work at all
Zero and 90 degrees are relatively accurate, but 45 is reported as 60, even when I flip the phone around. And then you get super annoying flashing ads. Deleting this app now.
The layout is simple and clean.
The problem is that the readings jitter constantly, even when the iPad is stationary. The idea of showing the angle in tenths of a degree is good but the accelerometers fluctuate. If the author could calculate a running average, effectively dampening the output, then the extra accuracy would be useful.
How do you calibrate it?
Even the most carefully assembles iPod isnt at zero. Unloaded it.
I tried the level on my desk. In the landscape orientation (using the first bubble level) the app told me I needed to raise the left end of my phone to level the desk but when I switched to the portrait orientation (now using the second bubble level) the app said I needed to raise the right side of my phone. Such disparity in the two levels does not inspire much confidence. And, I could not see a means to calibrate the level.
